Is Thornquay a bank?

No. Thornquay Financial Corp. is a private financing firm. We do not take deposits. Facilities are funded through private capital partners.

Who do you work with?

Incorporated professionals, business owners, families and family offices, usually alongside their accountant, lawyer and insurance advisor. We also work directly with advisors on behalf of their clients.

Is insurance-based financing right for me?

It depends on your circumstances. It can suit people with a long-term need for permanent coverage and a clear way to repay. It is not suitable for everyone, and we always recommend independent tax, legal and insurance advice before you proceed.

What are the main risks?

Interest rates can rise, and policy values can grow more slowly than illustrated. Either can increase cost or require additional collateral. We model these before you commit and review them each year.

How long does it take?

It depends on the structure and the documents involved. We can usually tell you quickly after a first conversation whether we can help, and give you a realistic timeline from there.

Can you review an arrangement I already have?

Yes. We review existing leveraged insurance arrangements and, where it makes sense, refinance them on clearer or more suitable terms.

Do you work with my existing advisors?

Always. Your advisors review every structure, and we keep them informed for its life.
